We met up with Officer McClain today and gave him the donated sporting goods he requested for the kids in his patrol area! He was very, very nice. He's going to try to get the word out about our organization and thinks that we have a great idea. He even endorsed my intention to just start walking up to random officers when I see them parked somewhere and start telling them about our group. (Trust me, I'll do it.)
Officer McClain knows Officer Dunbar and promised to talk to him about us! Officer Dunbar is the gentleman who paid out of his own pocket to put a homeless man in a motel and help him turn his life around. This happened at the same time we started helping Jim, and was the inspiration for the founding of this group! I would very much like to talk to him about his thoughts on this group and what we could do to support his efforts.
