Jim's party was a huge success. I took some pictures early on, then pretty much forgot about photos (or videos) for the remainder of the time. We had a great group of people there and Jim really had a fantastic time. It was more than I could have ever hoped for. I was so happy to meet people I'd been acquainted with online (some for YEARS!) but had never managed to meet in person.
I said to Jim, "I told you people are very invested in your story and your success."
"Yeah, I'm beginning to see that," he responded with a grin. It was nice to let him see get a glimpse into how much everyone cares about him.
We had so much food that we repeatedly had to go around the bar and ask other patrons to please come eat something.
I got to speak to many people about the Starfish Assignment, letting them know how the idea evolved, what we've done so far, and where we want it to lead. Everyone I spoke to was enthusiastic about the idea and wanted to get involved. Please spread the word to your friends and any organizations you think might be interested and let me know how I can be involved in getting the message out!
