Our guest speaker at our November meeting will be Columbus Division of Police 13 Pct Community Liaison Ofc Tim Mounts. Ofc Mounts has been a supporter of Starfish since he learned of us last year, and has worked with us on Micro and Macro Assignments, to include Cops and Barbers.
Ofc Mounts has had a long and illustrious career with the Division, to include being a SWAT officer and working on the officer involved shooting unit. He'll answer questions about those areas as well, but for this event, we've asked him to speak to us about his time as a homicide detective. Ofc Mounts worked as a third shift homicide detective from 2006-2012. He returned to homicide as a first shift detective the year the city had a record breaking murder rate of 143 deaths.
