Our Fourth Annual Columbus Division of Police/AEP Ohio Coat Drive is nearly underway! Once again we will be distributing coats to children already identified by our partners at CPD and selected Columbus Recreation and Parks Department centers. This year that will be over 400 kids!
Planning with AEP Ohio and Macy's Polaris Fashion Place started in August. Yes, really! We ordered the coats in September to make sure the supply chain issues wouldn't affect anything and we deeply appreciate the support of both companies in those efforts.
As you can see, Lieutenant Chris Lieb didn't take any chances with the big truck breaking down this time. Instead, he played a nice game of Tetris when he picked up the coats from where they were being stored and loaded them into a CPD wagon. It took a couple of trips, but they all made it safely.
More to come soon!
