We're so excited to have officers back in schools reading with our Books & Badges program that we can barely contain ourselves. This week was another great one! Officer Jeff Hoffman, who works third shift (!!!) at Gahanna Division of Police happily volunteered to read to Mrs. Bard’s fourth grade class at Jefferson Elementary. He shared stories from "Truths (and Myths) About Creepy Places," and he reports the book was a big hit, with some of the kids saying they may have seen a ghost or UFO themselves. Officer Hoffman is excited to read again, which we always love to hear.
Meanwhile, our friends at Marion Police Department read books donated by our partners at the 2nd & 7 Foundation to second graders at Benjamin Harrison Elementary. Lieutenants Musser & Brown and Officers Benroth & Gabriel all got a chance to read, and everyone had a wonderful time. All the children in Gahanna and Marion went home with copies of the books the officers read--theirs to keep for their very own! 📚👮
