We are thrilled to report that our partnership with CME Federal Credit Union has developed into a formal sponsorship through the end of 2021 (at least!). We first met this wonderful team when they honored Columbus Division of Police, and Starfish Board Member, Pete Casuccio and barber Rob Cayson as Hometown Heroes for their work with our Cops and Barbers event. Since then, they've also bestowed that same award on Columbus Parks and Rec Manager Mario Dovell and CPD Officer Tony Rogers, both of whom work very closely with us, as well as our founder and president, Nicole Banks.
CME supplied snacks, drinks, and volunteers for our Christmas 2019 Gift Bag project, and they're looking forward to similarly supporting future events as soon as COVID-19 allows us to hold events again.
As you can see, they're devoted to public service and are a perfect fit for Starfish. In fact, they were actually established in 1935 by the City of Columbus Firefighters, and a few years later, CME began serving employees of the City of Columbus Division of Police. Later they expanded to serve everyone in the Columbus area, including Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Morrow, Pickaway and Union counties.
Thank you, CME! We really appreciate the work you do in our community, your faith in us, and your support of our efforts.
