Starfish Founder/President Nicole Banks has had a couple of big months. Following recognition from the Transportation Security Administration with a 2024 Patriot Award, Nicole was presented with the Distinguished Law Enforcement Victoria Allen Civilian Leadership Award during Attorney General Dave Yost’s Law Enforcement Training Symposium in Sandusky, Ohio. This award recognizes individuals who work to unite their neighbors and local law enforcement for the betterment of the community as a whole.
As an added surprise, long-time Starfish supporter Senator Stephanie Kunze sent special recognition on behalf of the Ohio Senate to commend Nicole’s achievement. The recognition reads, in part: “You are a remarkable individual, combining civic concern and dedication with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the area. This prestigious honor is a fitting tribute to you for the exemplary efforts you have displayed in your work as the founder and president of Starfish Assignment.”
Last week, Nicole was honored with the Citizen of the Year award from Central Ohio Crime Stoppers. Nicole definitely deserves these recognitions for the dedication she has provided to Starfish. Please join us in congratulating her on being selected for these awards!
