Fifth Annual Cops & Barbers

It's almost time for the Fifth Annual Cops & Barbers! Started in 2018 by Columbus Division of Police Officer Pete Casuccio and barber Rob Cayson as a way to give back to inner city youth, this year's event will be held at Linden Community Center. One hundred pre-registered children will receive backpacks full of school supplies. Boys will receive haircuts from amazing and talented barbers, while girls will do art projects with female officers. New this year, girls will also receive gift certificates to have their hair styled at a local beauty school.

Even if you're not registered to participate in the event, you can still come out on Sunday from 1:00-4:00pm. Our premier sponsor, AEP Ohio, will be there, and we understand they might even be able to give us rides in the bucket trucks. Those are so much fun!

The Columbus Blue Jackets will have an inflatable street hockey rink there, with free sticks and balls while supplies last. Of course, we'll have our always-popular dunk tank, games, and food. Our friends from Columbus Division of Fire will be there with the safety house, and CPD will have various units in support (maybe even the helicopter!).

We are already getting in the Cops & Barbers spirit--yesterday we stuffed backpacks for the event and look how much fun we had. We hope to see you on Sunday!
