Friday At the Warehouse

What a great day at the warehouse! We had visits from our friends at Byers Auto Group, who dropped off a bunch of bikes their employees and friends donated, Chief Michael Woods, and from our neighbors at IMPACT Community Action. Starfish Board Member and Linden Community Center Manager Mario Dovell also came by, as did Marion Police Lieutenant Ed Brown.

Columbus Division of Police Officer Julien Roffey manned the grill to give a hot lunch to our hard-working officers who are repairing the nearly 400 bikes you've donated. They'll be given out through Columbus Recreation and Parks Department to kids in Linden, the Hilltop, the East Side, and on the South Side starting next week.

Byers has been wonderful to us--they've even sent techs to help us repair bikes! As you can tell, a definite highlight was when they showed up today with a donated unicycle. We are quite sure that more than one officer is going to learn how to ride that before Bikes & Badges 2021 is over.
