Today we partnered with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Columbus Division of Police, and various organizations across the city to give children and adults a special outdoor experience in the heart of the city. We all met up at Natural Resources Park on the Ohio State Fairgrounds, where the kids were treated to a variety of fun and educational activities, including archery, a geo walk, a virtual reality experience, and learning about snakes and invertebrates.
CPD and Ohio Division of Wildlife officers donned their chef hats, grilling up a delicious lunch for everyone. And what's a perfect day without the perfect weather? Mother Nature was definitely on our side. (Whew! We had our fingers crossed!️)
A huge shoutout to our incredible sponsors, Byers Airport Subaru and the Cooper Family Foundation. Your support was crucial in turning this vision into reality. Thank you also to the many people who worked for months to ensure everything went flawlessly today. We were so excited to make this happen for the children.
A special thank you to our esteemed partners who shared this journey with us: Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, The Brian Muha Memorial Foundation, Inc./The Run The Race Club, MY Project USA, The Salvation Army in Central Ohio, and St. Stephen's Community House.
Here's to more days like today! We hear whispers that many are already gearing up for next year – count us in!
