More than 200 law enforcement officers and firefighters joined together to bring cheer to kids at Nationwide Children's Hospital last night. Four of our board members, Nicole Banks, Columbus Division of Police Deputy Chief Tim Becker, Dublin Police Lieutenant Nick Tabernik, and Lindsey Tinsley, as well as CPD Starfish Committee Member Lieutenant Chris Lieb, had the honor of participating.
Our friend Kenken was appointed police chief for the day! We also got to meet Marion Police Lieutenant Mark Elliott and K9 Six.
Along the way, people waved at us and happily called to us from their porches and from outside bars. This annual tradition, established by Bill Swank, lifts the spirits of more than just the children at Nationwide. Thank you, Bill, for starting this wonderful tradition.
