Please join us in congratulating Starfish Assignment President and Founder Nicole Banks, and our friends, Columbus Division of Police Commander Lowell Rector and Detective Andre Edwards, who were among the 26 recipients of the Transportation Security Administration's Patriot Award on Tuesday. Their dedication and service were celebrated at a ceremony filled with inspiring individuals who have made significant contributions to their communities.
During the event, retired New York City firefighter Lieutenant Dominick Maggiore shared a powerful message about the many acts of kindness he experienced on 9/11 and in the days that followed. He spoke about how these moments of compassion helped push away the darkness of that day and aided in his healing. Since we were founded on the principle of making a difference for one, this was particularly profound for all of us at Starfish.
