We're gearing up for our Seventh Annual Starfish Assignment/AEP Ohio Coat Drive! Thanks to AEP Ohio's generosity and our wonderful partners at Macy's, nearly 700 children in Central Ohio will soon be wearing stunning, brand-new coats to keep them cozy through these chilly winter days.
This week, officers from Columbus and Gahanna teamed up with CPD's incredible cadets to tackle the big task of moving, unpacking, and sorting all these coats. Now they're ready for officers and deputies to select the perfect ones for kids in need. We’re thrilled to see this effort come to life once again!
Law enforcement officers across Franklin County will be personally delivering these coats to children they’ve encountered through their work, sharing warmth and kindness throughout the community. While all of this year's coats have already been spoken for, we encourage anyone in need of a coat or other holiday assistance to visit findhelp.org for resources and support.
Keep an eye out for an upcoming post where we’ll showcase the joy and smiles these coats bring to local kids. Huge thanks to everyone making this possible—AEP Ohio, Macy’s, our partner agencies, and our incredible volunteers. These coats are beautiful, warm, and exactly what these children need to brave the cold weather ahead!
