We had an incredible day at Columbus Division of Fire's RREACT Community Safety Day. Hundreds of people came to receive essential resources like food and health information, safely dispose of unneeded medications, and enjoy a variety of fun activities. Long lines formed for much-needed items such as fresh produce, meats, eggs, naloxone, smoke detectors, and gun locks.
Visitors were delighted to interact with the adorable pups from the CPD Therapy Dog Unit and snap photos with the majestic animals of the Mounted Unit. CFD even gave people the chance to test their skills with a fire hose and navigate the Safety House to learn critical fire safety tips.
We partnered with Columbus Division of Police to hand out donut-themed snap bracelets thanks to our sponsor Byers Auto Group, which brought smiles to children and adults alike! The joy on their faces as the straight bracelets wrapped around their wrists was priceless, and it was heartwarming to see people of all ages enjoying these fun accessories.
We had such a fantastic day that we've already started planning for the October event. Hope to see you there!
