Columbus Division of Police Officer James Poole and his son, Jonah, set off on their cross-country bicycle ride yesterday. They started in Santa Monica, California, and their first stop was our partner agency, Glendale Police Department. We were thrilled that the officer who's done more Books & Badges readings than anyone else went to say hi to our first out-of-state agency.
The Pooles are making their journey to benefit First Responders' Bridge. Along the way, they'll be stopping at police and fire stations, talking about the importance of first responders' mental health, and working to raise awareness of this important topic.
