Virtual Books & Badges: Cmdr Robert Meader

Commander Robert Meader will read We the People at noon on Friday, May 22 on the Columbus Division of Police Facebook page for Virtual Books & Badges. This is a just-released book written to teach children about the Constitution.

Cmdr Meader has been a friend of Starfish since last year, when he helped lead the bag stuffing event for Cops and Barbers. He was incredibly gracious to the AEP Ohio and Starfish volunteers, and we're excited to have him participate in Books & Badges.

Cmdr Meader joined Columbus Police in 1990 where he obtained both his undergraduate and law degrees from Capital University.

During his time with CPD, he has worked in patrol for eighteen years. He has also been assigned to the Legal Unit, as an aide to a deputy chief, undercover with the former Street Crime Attack Team and the last five years in the Training Bureau, where he had also served as a sergeant and lieutenant. In January 2020, he transferred to the Communications Bureau.

Cmdr Meader has a small law practice and is an adjunct professor at Franklin University. He is married with three children.
