We’ve got some big Texas news! San Benito Police Department is the very first Books & Badges agency in the Lone Star State, and we’re so excited to have them on board!
San Benito is in the Rio Grande Valley, and their officers are already pros at community connection. From Ice Cream with a Cop to Shop with a Cop, they’re out there making tons of memories. They love to visit schools to read with students, which made them a natural fit for Books & Badges.
Now, when they read, each child will get a copy of the book to keep, and that book will go home with them as a memory of a fun time with their favorite officers. We love their energy and can’t wait to see what they’ll do with the program.
